Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs to register their second win of the Indian Premier League 2026. Chasing 217, RR were dismissed for 158 in 19 overs. Donovan Ferreira (69 off 44) and Ravindra Jadeja (45 off 32) were the only two players who contributed with the bat. Debutant Praful Hinge took four wickets, including three in one over.
Sakib Hussain was also impressive with the ball on his debut, claiming four scalps. Rajasthan were unbeaten in four games before the contest against SRH, but they failed miserably in Hyderabad.
Earlier, Abhishek Sharma (0) and Travis Head (18) returned to the dressing room without making significant contributions. Stand-in skipper Ishan Kishan faced 44 balls to accumulate 91 runs, laced with 8 fours and 6 sixes.
Heinrich Klaasen continued his good form, posting 40 off 26, laced with 3 maximums and 1 boundary.
Nitish Kumar Reddy (28 off 13) and Salil Arora (24* off 13) added important runs in the death overs. Jofra Archer got rid of two batters while Sandeep Sharma, Riyan Parag and Tushar Deshpande picked up one wicket each.
Rajasthan are still No.1, while SRH have reached the fourth spot in the 19th season of the tournament.
