A stunning bowling performance from Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain set up Hyderabad’s second win in the IPL 2026 campaign.
Their four-wicket hauls set up Sunrisers Hyderabad to seal a 57-run victory against Rajasthan Royals at Hyderabad. By this win, SRH stormed into the top four of the IPL 2026 points table.
After being invited to bat first, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head opened the innings for SRH while Jofra Archer opened the bowling attack for Rajasthan.
He bagged the wicket of Abhishek Sharma in the very first ball of the innings, and Ishan Kishan came to bat at No.
3. Both Ishan Kishan and Travis Head made a decent partnership as SRH scored 51 runs in the powerplay.Riyan Parag, who came to bowl after the power play, bagged the wicket of Travis Head for 18 runs.
However, Ishan Kishan smashed fifty and continued to bat scoring 91 runs which included 8 fours and 6 sixes. With Sandeep Sharma bagging the wicket of SRH captain Ishan Kishan, SRH lost three wickets for 143 runs.
Meanwhile, Heinrich Klaasen did make a decent 26-ball 40 before being dismissed by Tushar Deshpande.
With Nitish Kumar Reddy adding 28 runs off 13 deliveries Aniket Verma got dismissed for 6 runs on a run out.
With Salil Arora and Harsh Dubey at crease, SRH scored 216 runs in their 20 over innings. Salil Arora remained unbeaten with 24* runs. Jofra Archer bagged two wickets while, Sandeep Sharma, Tushar Deshpande and Riyan Parag bagged a wicket each.
Chasing a 217 run target, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi opened the innings while Praful Hinge opened the bowling attack.
The pacer picked the wickets of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius in the the first over setting the solid base for SRH to defend the total.
With the dismissal of Yashasvi Jaiswal for 1 run in the 2nd over by Sakib Hussain, Rajasthan Royals lost four wickets for two runs.
Praful Hinge picked the wicket of Riyan Parag as the two debutants demolished the entire Rajasthan top order.
However, Donovan Ferreira and Ravindra Jadeja did forge a solid partnership, helping the side to post 40 runs in the powerplay. They forged a 118-run partnership where Donovan Ferreira smashed fifty and scored 69 runs off 44 deliveries.
Sakib Hussain bagged his second wicket dismissing Donovan Ferreira and broke the crucial partnership. Soon Ravindra Jadeja who tried to take over, got dismissing by Eshan Malinga as Rajasthan lost seven wickets for 129 runs.
Sakib Hussain completed his four wicket haul by dismissing Jofra Archer and Ravi Bishnoi. Eshan Malinga bagged his second wicket to dismiss Tushar Deshpande as Rajasthan lost all 10 wickets for 159 runs.
Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain bagged four wickets each while Eshan Malinga bagged two wickets.
Sunrisers Hyderabad will play their next match against Chennai Super Kings on April 18 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
