In IPL 2026, 21-year-old young fast bowler Saqib Hussain created a stir in his debut match itself. While playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, he created history by taking 4 wickets. With this brilliant performance, Shakib has also registered his name in a special list of IPL.
In the 12th match of IPL 2026 played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals on Monday (April 13), young fast bowler Saqib Hussain created history by performing brilliantly in his debut match itself. This 21-year-old uncapped pacer, coming from Gopalganj, Bihar, took 4 wickets for 24 runs in 4 overs and completely destroyed the batting of Rajasthan Royals. With the help of his performance, Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a big win in this match by 57 runs.
Saqib Hussain has joined the few players in IPL history who have taken 4 or more wickets in their debut match. His spell of 4 wickets for 24 runs was also the joint fourth best performance in his IPL debut. The names of Alzarri Joseph, Andrew Tye, Shoaib Akhtar and Kevon Cooper are included ahead of him in this special list.
