Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer has won the toss and elected to bowl first against the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026. The Match 24 is being played at the Wankhede Stadium, with the first ball set to be bowled at 07:30 pm IST.
“We will bowl first. So far so good. We have a good desired start in IPL. We have to maintain the momentum. The players should stick to the present and be proactive. The pitch looks dry, and with the dew coming in, it will get better,” Shreys Iyer said.
MI skipper Hardik Pandya would have bowled first as well.
“We would have bowled first as well, so it is a good toss to lose. We have played decent cricket, but it is important to capitalise on big moments. As a group, we know that there is a need to stop the flow of the runs,” he said.
