The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock horns against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match 27 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

SRH are currently fourth in the standings after picking up four points from their opening five games of the new season. They secured their second victory of the season against the Rajasthan Royals in their previous fixture, winning by a comfortable margin of 57 runs.

The SRH squad, particularly their bowling department, have found a new piece of life following the debuts of both Sakib Hussain and Praful Hinge. The duo, on their maiden IPL appearance, took four wickets each to help the 2016 champions secure a win over the then-unbeaten RR side.

With their batting already one of the strongest, SRH look like a completely different side heading into the middle part of the 2026 IPL.

Here is SRH’s strongest predicted XI vs CSK, Match 27, IPL 2026: Top Order: Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan (C) Ishan Kishan (Source: IPL)

One of the most feared top orders in the IPL, SRH have always relied on their top three to provide them with a quick start.

However, Abhishek Sharma has not been in the best of form recently. The left-handed opener has scored 129 runs from five matches at an average of just 25.80.

Captain Ishan Kishan, on the other hand, has been in good touch, scoring 213 runs at a strike-rate of 190.17. The Jharkhand star keeps the foot on the pedal despite his side losing an early wicket in the powerplay.

Middle Order: Heinrich Klaasen, Salil Arora (WK), Aniket Verma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harsh Dubey Heinrich Klaasen (Photo Source: IPL)

The heavy hitting continues in SRH’s middle order, led by South Africa’s Heinrich Klaasen. The right-hander is currently his side’s leading runs-scorer this season. However, his strike rate has not been the highest, hitting at 142.67, which is the lowest amongst the top 10 highest run-getters this season.

Klaasen’s shortcomings have been covered by the presence of Salil Arora, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Aniket Varma. The trio have regularly provided their side with strong finishes in the death overs. If they aren't enough, SRH also have the likes of all-rounder Harsh Dubey for some pinch-hitting towards the death overs.

Bowlers: Shivang Kumar, Praful Hinge, Eshan Malinga

Despite a plethora of injuries to their bowling lineup, the arrival of Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain has come as a blessing in disguise. The latter came in as an impact sub during the game against the Royals.

The spin-bowling department is taken care of by the presence of Shivang Kumar. The left-arm spinner is currently his side’s leading wicket-taker, with five scalps to his name at an economy of 8.66. Dubey wll also contribute with his left-arm orthodox in the powerplay and middle overs.

SRH’s predicted playing XI vs CSK in Match 27, IPL 2026:

Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan (C), Heinrich Klaasen, Salil Arora (WK), Aniket Verma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harsh Dubey, Shivang Kumar, Praful Hinge, Eshan Malinga
