GT vs KKR, IPL 2026: Kolkata Knight Riders still remain the only winless side of IPL 2026 as the Gujarat Titans coasted to their third consecutive victory of the tournament. Chasing 181, largely set up by Cameron Green’s 79, Shubman Gill roared with a 50-ball 86. Although the match went down to the wire, the Titans accomplished the job comfortably. All ten franchises in Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, and Delhi Capitals have now played at least four games in this edition.

GT vs KKR, IPL 2026: Shubman Gill’s 86 helps Gujarat Titans coast to their third consecutive win

Having opted to bat first at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the three-time champions had a horrid start, including losing Ajinkya Rahane for a golden duck. With the Knight Riders at 32-3 after four overs, Rovman Powell and Cameron Green were left with a massive rebuilding job. After the 55-run partnership between Green and Powell, the former responded by taking control of the proceedings, dishing out some lusty blows. Although Green reached his fifty off 34 deliveries, a late collapse saw Kolkata finish only with 180 after the Aussie all-rounder was dismissed for 79 off the final ball of the innings.

Gujarat Titans started their run-chase quite confidently as Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudharsan stitched a 57-run opening stand. Jos Buttler provided an impetus of 15-ball 25 as Gill reached his half-century off 27 deliveries. The Titans hardly lost control of the run-chase despite the run-chase going down to the wire as they sealed the victory with two balls to spare.
