Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League 2026.

Toss Decision – Captain’s Comments & Reasoning

“We will bowl first as it is a good track. It won’t change much, so it is good to chase. It is good to be up from the bottom. We started doing basics right from the second time.

A couple of guys are stepping up in the bowling department, and it gives me confidence,” Ruturaj Gaikwad said.

SRH skipper Ishan Kishan would have batted first had he won the toss.

“We would have batted first as it is a good track. It is important to put runs on the board, and that was our plans so nothing to worry. We have to take it game by game, and it doesn’t matter where we are in the points table,” he said.
