Lucknow: Questions have been raised many times regarding the captaincy of Mumbai Indians (MI) new captain Hardik Pandya in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Now once again former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has raised questions on Hardik's captaincy. Let us tell you that Pandya has taken some such decisions so far this season, which have been criticized by many veteran players of the cricket world. Some people believe that Pandya is responsible for Mumbai's poor performance in IPL 2024 and the mistakes made on the field have cost the team heavily.

Pathan believes that Pandya has been seen making some such mistakes this season, which puts the team in trouble. Let us tell you that this season Mumbai has won only 4 out of 13 matches and they are also present at 10th place in the points table. Captain Hardik himself has not been able to make an impact with bat and ball this year. This was also a big reason why the team could not find itself in a good position this season. In such a situation, during Pandya's conversation with Star Sports, Pathan has given a big statement.
He said, “I do not understand Hardik Pandya's captaincy. Arjun Tendulkar is playing his first match today and bowled well in the very first over. His confidence had increased but after that he was removed from bowling. He has got a break and if he comes now, he may not be able to bowl well. This has been the problem of Hardik's captaincy this year. He has not used Jasprit Bumrah properly and the results have also not been in favor of the team. They have made a lot of mistakes and you are seeing the result that Mumbai is not finding itself in a good position.”
Actually, the team captained by Hardik is playing its last match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Friday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In this match, Mumbai has made some changes in the team and in this episode Arjun Tendulkar was included in the playing eleven. After this, Tendulkar bowled the second over of the innings and gave only 3 runs but after this Pandya removed him from the attack and only after this Irfan was seen criticizing him. Let us tell you that this is not the first time that Pathan has criticized the 31-year-old. He has done this many times before also.
