After a batting performance from Ravindra Jadeja, Jofra Archer delivered a brilliant spell and shone in the IPL 2026 game against Lucknow Super Giants.

Jofra Archer bagged three wickets in his four-over spell, leaking only 20 runs. With this win, the Rajasthan Royals moved to the 2nd spot in the IPL 2026 points table.

After being invited to bat first, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi opened the innings while Mohammed Shami opened the bowling attack.

The young duo was unable to make an impact as Mohammed Shami bagged the wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel in consecutive deliveries.

Jaiswal scored 22 runs off 11 deliveries before being dismissed. He was sent back after Jaiswal attempted to strike a bouncer, which touched the gloves and went over to Rishabh Pant behind the wickets.

In the very next delivery, Dhruv Jurel got dismissed on an outside off delivery, where the edge went to Rishabh Pant.

With the dismissal of Vaibhav Suryavanshi for 8 runs by Mohsin Khan, Rajasthan Royals lost third wicket for 32 runs. However, Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer forged the side to revive the innings.

Riyan Parag scored 20 runs before being dismissed by Prince Yadav. He got dismissed after Nicholas Pooran took a catch. Meanwhile Shimron Hetmyer got dismissed for Mohsin Khan for 22 runs. He was sent back to dug out after Prince Yadav took the catch at mid-off.

Rajasthan Royals was in tough spot as they lost 5 wickets off 77 runs. Shami and Mohsin Khan ripped the Rajasthan Batting line up along with Prince Yadav. Donovan Ferreira scored 20 runs before being dismissed by Prince Yadav.

On the other hand, Ravindra Jadeja scored 43 runs off 29 deliveries while Shubham Dubey added 19* runs off 11 deliveries.

By the end of 20 overs, Rajasthan Royals went on to score 159 runs for 6 wickets. Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav and Mohsin Khan bagged two wickets each for Lucknow Super Giants.

Chasing the 160 run target, Mitchell Marsh and Ayush Badoni opened the innings while, Jofra Archer opened the bowling attack.

Ayush Badoni got dismissed on a run out after a mix up, while Nandre Burger picked the wicket of Rishabh Pant for duck. Markram who came to bat at No. 4, got dismissed for duck by Jofra Archer.

However, Nicholas Pooran joined Mitchell Marsh helping the side to revive the innings as the duo stitched a 43-run partnership. However Jadeja bagged the wicket of Nicholas Pooran for 22 runs. Himmat Singh who came to bat scored 15 runs before being dismissed by 15 runs.

In the meantime, Mitchell Marsh smashed his fifty from 27 deliveries aiming to complete the chase. However, he got dismissed by Nandre Burger for 55 runs.

Soon After his dismissal other batters lost their wickets at intervals as they got bowled out for 119 runs.

Brijesh Sharma picked the wickets of Mukul Choudhary and Mohammed Shami for 7 and 6 respectively.

Jofra Archer who came to bowl the 18th over, bagged the wicket of Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan for 5 and duck as the side lost all 10 wickets. Rajasthan Royals secured a stunning 40 run victory in the game.

As per the Rajasthan Royals 2026 schedule, their next game will be against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 25 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
