IPL 2026 Points Table after LSG vs RR match: Rajasthan Royals defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 40 runs in the 32nd match of IPL 2026 played at Ekana Stadium. With this victory the face of the points table also changed. Rajasthan team not only did good for itself by defeating Lucknow but also caused loss to some teams. This loss has been such that now even the result of MI vs CSK match cannot make any difference in it. Meaning, whether Mumbai wins or Chennai… the shape of the top four of the points table is not going to change at the moment. The changes that have taken place there due to Rajasthan Royals will remain intact.
Now the question is what are the changes in the points table of IPL 2026? The strings of those changes are related to the losses suffered by two teams, who had to slip after Rajasthan Royals' victory over LSG. Rajasthan team was at fourth position in the points table of IPL 2026 till the match played against LSG. But, after the win against LSG, they had 10 points after 5 wins and 2 losses in 7 matches and jumped two places. The result was that he moved from fourth to second position. The first place in the points table is with Punjab Kings with 11 points in 6 matches.
Among the teams that Rajasthan Royals suffered losses to reach number 2, i.e. the teams they defeated, one is RCB and the other is Sunrisers Hyderabad. After the LSG vs RR match, RCB moved from second to third position in the points table. At the same time, Sunrisers Hyderabad also had to slip down one place. She has now moved from third to fourth position in the points table. RCB and SRH both have 8-8 points. But since RCB has scored 8 points by playing one match less and with a better run rate, hence it is above SRH.
After the LSG vs RR match, you have seen the form of the top four teams in the points table of IPL 2026. In this form, it will not make any difference even after the 33rd match of IPL 2026 between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. Because, if any of these two teams win, they can definitely be seen surpassing each other, but the equations of the top four cannot have any impact.
Mumbai Indians are currently at 7th position in the points table while Chennai Super Kings are at 8th position. Both have scored 4-4 points in 6-6 matches played so far. There is only difference in run rate between them, due to which the points are up and down in the table. Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans also have the same story in the points table. Delhi is at 5th while Gujarat is at 6th. After playing 6-6 matches, both have 6-6 points. But the difference in run rate has kept the points table up and down.
The worst team of IPL 2026 is currently KKR, which is at number 10 in the points table of 10 teams. After the defeat against Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants have also slipped to 9th position.
