Yuvraj Singh is one of the best white-ball cricketers to play for India. He played a key role in the Men in Blue’s victory in the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 World Cup. Former India player Irfan Pathan compared Nicholas Pooran with Yuvraj.

Pooran was in blistering form against Mumbai Indians. The southpaw scored 75 runs off 29 balls, laced with 8 sixes and 5 fours. He played well against the pacers and didn’t allow the bowlers to settle down.

“After Yuvraj Singh, Nicholas Pooran is the only left-handed batters, who plays strokes that are pleasing to the eyes. He played a sensational knock against Mumbai Indians and took Lucknow out of trouble. Once he gets going, there is no looking back,” Irfan Pathan said on Star Sports.

Although Pooran was consistent for the KL Rahul-led team, LSG failed to qualify for the playoffs. After winning important games in the first half of the season, Lucknow lost the momentum in the second phase.
