Sunil Gavaskar has launched another scathing attack on Virat Kohli. The problem started when Kohli hit out at the commentators for their critical take on his strike rate in the Indian Premier League 2024.
Kohli questioned their credibility after a match in the 17th season. Former New Zealand player Simon Doull accused Virat of reading garbage on social media.
Gavaskar reminded Virat that all the commentators had played a bit of cricket and they say what happens on the field without getting influence. In the match between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants, Gavaskar took a dig at Virat.
“When Virat Kohli started his career it was a stop-start career. The fact that MS Dhoni gave him that little extra momentum is why he is the Kohli we see today,” he said on Star Sports.
Meanwhile, Kohli has crossed the 650-run mark, with the help of 1 century and 5 fifties. He is leading the run-scoring tally in the 17th season.
