Rohit Sharma will be leading the Indian team at the T20 World Cup 2024 in USA and West Indies.

Mumbai: India captain Rohit Sharma sounded confident about playing at the drop-in pitches in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 and stated the majority of the squad were given a role a clarity before the start of the ongoing Indian Premier League. Put in Group A, India have Pakistan, USA, Canada and Ireland to play in the league stage. The Men in Blue will be playing three league games at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium (New York) and one at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium (Florida).

Notably the New York venue has been one of the talking points because of the drop-in pitch that is set to host the marquee India vs Pakistan clash. “We have worked a little bit on our preparation for the World Cup. We will be playing in drop-in pitches in New York. We have played before in drop-in pitches and have a fair idea what to expect,” said Rohit after Mumbai Indians ended their IPL 2024 campaign on Friday. The five-time champions lost to Lucknow Super Giants to finish last on points table.
