In such a situation, if RCB scores 170 runs while batting first, then it will have to restrict CSK to 152 runs. If CSK could score 170 runs while batting first, then RCB would need 171 runs in 13.1 overs to reach this target.

If the match is of 10-10 overs and RCB batting first scores 100 runs, then they will have to restrict CSK to 82 runs. If CSK scores 100 runs while batting first, then RCB will have to score 101 runs in 8.1 overs to reach the target.
