Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s on-field temper proved costly; he was fined 20 percent of his match fee

While returning to the pavilion, Raghuvanshi angrily hit his bat on the boundary line and threw his helmet in the dugout.

Lucknow. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) wicketkeeper batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been fined 20 percent of his match fee and one demerit point has also been added to his account for showing anger after being given ‘obstruction of the field’ (obstructing the field).

Raghuvanshi was found guilty of violating the code of conduct during the IPL match played against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday. While returning to the pavilion after the incident that occurred in the fifth over of KKR’s innings, he angrily hit his bat on the boundary line and threw his helmet in the dugout. KKR won this match in the super over.

KKR wicketkeeper-batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi has been found guilty of breaching Level 1 of the IPL code of conduct for players and team officials during the IPL match against Lucknow Supergiants and has been fined 20 per cent of his match fee.

Apart from this, one demerit point has also been added to his account. Raghuvanshi has been found guilty of violating Article 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct which pertains to causing damage to cricket equipment or attire, ground equipment etc. during a match. Raghuvanshi has accepted the fine imposed by the match referee.
