Donovan Ferreira Shines as Rajasthan Royals End PBKS’ Unbeaten Run

A solid fifty from Donovan Ferreira and a brilliant knock from Shubham Dubey powers Rajasthan Royals to a 6-wicket victory against the Punjab Kings.

They ended PBKS’s unbeaten run in the ongoing season and secured third position in the IPL 2026 points table.

After being invited to bat first, Prabhsimran Singh and Priyansh Arya opened the innings while Jofra Archer opened the bowling attack.

The duo made a solid start, stitching a 37-run partnership for the first wicket. Jofra Archer picked the wicket of Priyansh Arya for 29 runs.

He got dismissed on a catch at mid-off taken by Nandre Burger.

With Cooper Connolly and Prabhsimran Singh at the crease, Punjab Kings scored 65 runs in the power play. Shreyas Iyer came to bat at no. 4 as the side crossed 100 run mark, and the duo will be aiming to post a mammoth total against the Rajasthan Royals.

Cooper Connolly made a brilliant cameo, scoring 30 runs off 13 deliveries. However, Yash Raj Punja bagged the wicket of the all-rounder on a full length outside off delivery where he sliced it to longoff.

Donovan Ferreira came under the ball and took an easy catch.

Prabhsimran Singh went on to slam fifty in 35 deliveries leading the side towards posting a big total. However, he got dismissed by Yash Raj Punja on a leg-break outside off where Riyan Parag got took the catch at extra cover.

Nandre Burger bagged the wicket of Shreyas Iyer for 30 runs. He got dismissed on a slower ball, where the ball goes towards in short fine where Dhruv Jurel Picked the catch.

Marcus Stoinis went on a aggressive mode smashing 20 ball fifty. In the final over over, he went on to deal with six and fours as Punjab Kings scored 222 runs in the 20 overs.

Marcus Stoinis remained unbeaten with 62* runs while Suryansh Shedge scored 3* runs. Yash Punja bagged two wickets while, Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger picked one wicket each.

Chasing a 223 run target, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the innings while Arshdeep Singh opened the bowling attack.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi made a solid start scoring 43 runs off 15 deliveries before being dismssed by Arshdeep Singh. He got dismissed on a low full toss ball where the young gun hits the ball in mid off where Shreyas Iyer took the catch.

Dhruv Jurel who came to bat at no.3 got dismissed on a full toss delivery from Yuzvendra Chahal where the catch was taken by Marco Jansen.

Yashasvi Jaiswal went on to slam his fifty which included 7 fours and 1 six. However, Yuzvendra Chahal bagged his wicket for 51 runs on a slow outside off delivery. He micues the ball where Suryansh Shedge took the catch at long-off.

Chahal bagged his third wicket dismissing Riyan Parag for 29 runs. However, Donovan Ferreira and Shubham Dubey made a solid partnership completing the chase with four balls to spare.

Dononvan Ferreira remained unbeaten with 52* runs while Shubham Dubey made 31* runs to complete the chase.
