He hit 3 sixes against Kuldeep Yadav in the very next over. Then in the next over he also hit a four and a six on Mitchell Starc. Then in the last over, Ferreira hit 2 sixes and 1 four against T Natarajan and took the team to a strong score of 225 runs.

Strong batting for Rajasthan

This is not the first time this season that Ferreira has done such a feat. In the last match, he led the team to victory by scoring 52 runs in 26 balls against Punjab. In one match against Sunrisers, he scored 69 runs and in another match, he scored 33 runs in just 16 balls. But this innings against Delhi was special because he was a part of the same team last season. But just before this season, Delhi had traded him to Rajasthan in exchange for Nitish Rana.

27 year old Donovan Ferreira is in his third season in IPL, out of which he is playing for Rajasthan for the second time. He made his debut for the Royals in 2024 but could play 2 matches, whereas in the last season he got a chance in only 1 match. So far in IPL 2020, he has scored 229 runs in 7 innings at a strike rate of 177.

Ferreira is a part of the South Africa cricket team, for which he has scored 240 runs in 16 T20 matches. He got his real identity from franchise cricket. Especially in SA20, he played the role of finisher in a strong manner for Joburg Superkings. Due to this, he has got a chance to play in leagues like T20 Blast, The Hundred and Major League Cricket and there too he has impressed with his power hitting.
