Bowlers often have to face difficulties in the Indian Premier League (IPL). No matter how successful that bowler is in international cricket. In this league or rather in T20 format, the path of bowlers is always full of challenges. Despite this, hardly any bowler would be afraid of any batsman. Even if someone felt scared, he would hardly accept it but 15 year old IPL superstar Vaibhav Suryavanshi filled this fear in the mind of a bowler.
India's young batsman in just one year Vaibhav Suryavanshi Has made life more difficult for the bowlers with his explosive batting. Not only in Under-19 cricket, but even in IPL, bowlers have not been able to escape the impact of his bat. Even the most dreaded bowlers of world cricket have been seen making waves in front of Suryavanshi. But New Zealand fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has succeeded in stopping this incarnation of his quickly.
This scene was seen in the match between Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026, when tall pacer Jameson bowled Vaibhav on the second ball itself. It was natural for Jamieson to be questioned about this after the match and he surprised everyone by saying that he was scared of Vaibhav. Jamieson said, "I don't think I have ever been so scared of a 15-year-old kid in my life. But we had prepared a plan for this (against Vaibhav) before the match and it was good to see that it was successful."
Let us tell you that 6 feet 8 inches tall Jamieson is the same fast bowler who has troubled legends like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma a lot in international cricket. In his short career, Jamieson has dismissed Virat 3 times, Shubman Gill 2 times and Rohit Sharma 1 time in Tests. In ODI, he has dealt with Rohit and Gill twice each, while Virat has also become his victim once.
The interesting thing is that Suryavanshi, who hit boundaries on the first ball of legendary bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Josh Hazlewood, Trent Boult, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Pat Cummins, did the same against Jameson. While bowling the second over of this match, Suryavanshi hit a four on the first ball of Jameson. But unlike other bowlers, Jameson bowled Vaibhav on the next ball. After this, he celebrated aggressively, which became the cause of a separate controversy and for this he was given one demerit point by BCCI.
