Delhi: Former captain of Pakistan cricket team and veteran all-rounder Shahid Afridi has given a big statement about the great Indian batsman Virat Kohli. He says that Kohli has said good things about coming to Pakistan and I also expected the same from him. Speaking at a tap ball event in Karachi, Afridi said that he welcomes Virat, whether he comes and plays in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) or joins the Indian team.
47 year old Shahid Afridi said, “Virat Kohli's statement about coming to Pakistan is heart touching. I thank them. I welcome him to play in PSL and Champions Trophy with Team India.”
Let us tell you that the video of Pakistani mountaineer Shahrooz Kashif's conversation with Kohli is going viral. This video of the conversation that took place in 2022 was shared by Shahrooz on social media, in which only Kohli's voice was heard. While talking to Shahroz, the former Indian captain expressed hope of coming to Pakistan and said that now cricket teams are coming. We hope to come soon.
Regarding the ICC T20 World Cup to be played in West Indies and America in June this year, the former all-rounder said that American wickets will be favorable for the batsmen, Pakistan must play the World Cup final.
Will Team India tour Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy?
Pakistan will host the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Now in such a situation the question arises whether the Indian team will tour there or not. Recall that Asia Cup 2023 was also to be hosted entirely by Pakistan, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refused to send the team to the neighboring country and instead played its matches in Sri Lanka. India last toured Pakistan in 2008 and the terrorist attacks in Mumbai later that year soured cricket relations between the two countries.
However, a tough competition between India and Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will take place in New York on June 9.
