Mitchell Marsh Century, Pant Blitz Powers LSG To 209/3 in Rain Affected Game vs RCB

A brilliant century from Mitchell Marsh set up Lucknow Super to post a 209-run total in the IPL 2026 game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, played on May 07 at Lucknow.

He made a brilliant 111 run knock off 56 deliveries as the side posted a massive total against RCB in a rain-affected game.

After being invited to bat, Mitchell Marsh and Arshin Kulkarni opened the innings while Bhuvneshwar Kumar opened the bowling attack.

The drizzle stopped the match, but it did not last long as the game resumed after a few minutes.

With Arshin Kulkarni putting in a slow start, Mitchell Marsh went on to deal with fours and sixes as he put 20 ball fifty and continued to bat as he scored 58 runs in the powerplay.

Added with Arshin Kulkarni’s runs, Lucknow Super Giants posted 68 runs in the powerply. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood bowled two overs each while Krunal Pandya and Rasik Salam deliveried one over each in the powerplay.

in the 9th over, Rain started to pour heavily as the game halted at Lucknow with LSG scoring 95 runs by the end of 9th over.

Resuming the game, RCB came back into game with Krunal Pandya bagged the wicket of Arshin Kulkarni for 17 runs.

Nicholas Pooran who came to bat at No.3, joined Mitchell Marsh troubling RCB bowlers. In the meantime, Mitchell Marsh smashed his first century this season. His knock came from 49 deliveries before the rain stopped the game once again.

With resuming the game, the umpires called for a 19-over game. Josh Hazlewood brought the crucial breakthrough dismissing in form Mitchell Marsh for 111 runs.

His knock included 9 fours and 9 sixes. Rishabh Pant who came to bat at No.4, joined Pooran aiming to post a 200+ total against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Nicholas Pooran got dismissed for 38 runs by Rasikh Salam. With Rishabh Pant and Aiden Markram at crease, LSG posted 209 runs in the powerplay.

Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten with 32 runs. His knock came from 10 deliveries which included four fours and 2 sixes. Josh Hazlewood, Krunal Pandya and Rasikh Salam bagged one wicket each.

Nicholas Pooran got dismissed for 38 runs by Rasikh Salam. With Rishabh Pant and Aiden Markram at crease, LSG posted 209 runs in the powerplay.
