Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), against all odds, have somehow made themselves part of the race to the playoffs. It has been a remarkable turnaround for the three-time IPL winners, who at one stage looked destined to finish in the bottom half of the table. KKR will hope MI can do them a favour and then win their final home game of the season to complete the turnaround.
Delhi Capitals (DC) have been eliminated after Punjab Kings defeated the Lucknow Super Giants. A win over KKR will be a morale booster and a chance to play party pooper to the hosts’ chances.

Best Batsman – KL Rahul
Veteran Indian star has produced another amazing season with the bat, scoring over 500 runs. KL Rahul will be keen to end the season on a high and put up a big score to give his side a morale-boosting win. Kolkata can be a tricky place to bat, but the experience the 34-year-old has can come in handy.
Best bowler – Sunil Narine
KKR will bank on the guile and talents of their talismanic spinner, Sunil Narineto come good once more. Narine was amazing with the ball in the game against the Mumbai Indians, bowling 4 overs and taking 1 wicket for 13 runs. The veteran star, who turns 38 in a few days, will be keen to see his side through to the playoffs and win their 4th IPL title.
It will be a tough game to call, since both sides are evenly matched in talent. One feels Delhi has a slight edge, as some of their players are local stars. Abhishek Porel and Mukesh Kumar play for Bengal in the Indian domestic circuit, and their knowledge about the track will be key. Mitchell Starc is another player who has played at this venue when he was part of the IPL-winning side in 2024, and could play a key role with the ball.
