In the IPL 2026 playoffs, the top two placed RCB and GT will play Qualifier 1 while SRH and RR feature in Eliminator. The winner of Qualifier 1 goes to the final on May 31 in Ahmedabad while the loser will get another shot to reach the title clash as the team will feature in Qualifier 2 to face the winner of Eliminator.
The final was originally scheduled to be played in Bengaluru as RCB are the reigning champions. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) moved the game to Ahmedabad.
“Bengaluru was originally designated to host the final. However, owing to certain requirements from the local association and authorities that were beyond the scope of BCCI’s established guidelines and protocols, the venue has been shifted and reassigned,” the BCCI stated earlier.
