Royal Challengers Bengaluru continued their dominant outing against Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 Qualifier 1 clash at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, and amidst all the high-intensity cricket, Virat Kohli once again managed to entertain fans with his trademark antics on the field.

During a change of overs in the second innings, Kohli hilariously marked his run-up and appeared fully prepared to bowl. His actions even convinced the commentators and spectators that he was about to roll his arm over for RCB. The crowd erupted in anticipation as Kohli walked in seriously as if he was set to deliver the next over.

However, the moment turned into pure comedy when Jacob Duffy casually arrived to collect the ball for the over. Kohli, instead of bowling, sprinted towards the umpire to retrieve the cap he had handed over moments earlier. The funny misunderstanding left players, commentators, and fans in splits, adding another memorable moment to Kohli’s entertaining on-field personality.

Speaking about the game, RCB completely dominated proceedings against GT after posting a massive 254/5 in their 20 overs.

Rajat Patidar led the charge with a breathtaking unbeaten 93 off just 33 deliveries, smashing five fours and nine sixes at an astonishing strike rate of 281.82. Kohli also contributed with a quickfire 43 off 25 balls, while the rest of the batting lineup chipped in with useful cameos.

For GT, Kagiso Rabada picked up 2/54, while Jason Holder claimed 2/39. With both bat and ball clicking perfectly, RCB looked firmly in control of the contest.

The winner of the Qualifier 1 clash will secure a direct spot in the IPL 2026 final scheduled for May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Meanwhile, the losing side will get another opportunity through Qualifier 2, set to be played on May 29 in Mullanpur.
