Sports Desk. Former Indian captain Virat Kohli has created history in the first qualifier played at the beautiful Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. In this match played against Gujarat Titans, Virat Kohli did a feat which no one could do before in IPL. Virat Kohli played a stormy innings of 43 runs in the first qualifier.
On the basis of this inning, he completed his 600 runs in this edition of IPL. Before this match, Virat Kohli had scored 557 runs in 14 matches playing at a strike rate of 163. With this, Virat Kohli has become the first batsman in the world to score 600 runs in four consecutive seasons of IPL. Virat Kohli had earlier scored 639 runs in 2023, 741 in 2024 and 657 runs in 2025.
Virat Kohli has left behind former great West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle, Australia’s David Warner and Indian cricketer KL Rahul in this matter. All of them have scored 600 or more runs in three consecutive seasons.
Virat Kohli played an inning of 43 runs in only 25 balls.
