Veteran Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadejashowcased his experience during the Eliminator clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals on May 28 in Mullanpur. In the 11th over, the left-arm spinner delivered a flatter ball to Nitish Kumar Reddy, who attempted a slog towards deep mid-wicket. However, the batter failed to time the shot properly, and Dasun Shanaka sprinted in from the boundary to complete a safe catch. Reddy’s entertaining knock came to an end at 38 runs off just 20 balls. After taking the wicket, Jadeja celebrated in style with the iconic ‘Pushpa’ gesture, delighting the crowd.
In the very next over, Sushant Mishra struck on the very first delivery by dismissing Pat Cummins. Bowling outside the off stump, Mishra tempted the SRH skipper into playing an aggressive shot. Cummins went for the aerial route and pulled the ball towards wide long-on, but failed to get the desired connection. Stationed in the deep, Jofra Archer sprinted to his right and completed an excellent catch while maintaining perfect balance near the boundary cushions. The dismissal added more pressure on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the crucial Eliminator clash against Rajasthan Royals.
