RR eliminate SRH from IPL 2026, set to face GT in Qualifier 2

Rajasthan Royals ended Sunrisers Hyderabad’s journey in the IPL 2026. Chasing 244, SRH were dismissed for 196 in 19.2  overs, falling short by 47 runs. With their victory in the Eliminator, RR have confirmed their place in Qualifier 2 and will compete against the Gujarat Titans for a place in the final. Royal Challengers Bengaluru have already made it to the mega clash, which is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on May 31.

Rajasthan’s pacer Jofra Archer dismantled Hyderabad’s top order and ended their winning chances inside the powerplay overs. Abhishek Sharma (0), Travis Head (17), and Ishan Kishan (33) returned to the dressing room, leaving their team in trouble. When Yash Raj Punja got rid of Heinrich Klaasen (18), it was all over for the Men in Orange. Nitish Kumar Reddy amassed 38 runs off 20 balls, with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes, but his runs were not enough. Salil Arora (35) also tried his best.

Earlier, it was Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s show in the first innings. The 15-year-old faced just 29 balls to accumulate 97 runs, laced with 12 sixes and 5 boundaries.

Dhruv Jurel was also sensational with the bat, managing 50 runs in 21 deliveries, including 5 boundaries and 3 maximums as Rajasthan reached 243 for 8 in 20 overs.

Yashasvi Jaiswal (29 off 29) and Riyan Parag (26 off 12) hit strokes in their knocks.
