Nandni Sharma made her international debut for India Women in the first T20I against England Women at Chelmsford on Thursday, adding another chapter to her rapid rise after a breakout Women’s Premier League season.
The 24-year-old right arm medium fast bowler from Chandigarh earned her maiden India call-up after a strong WPL 2026 campaign for Delhi Capitals, where she picked up 17 wickets in 10 matches and finished as the joint-highest wicket-taker of the season. She also made headlines by becoming the first Indian bowler in the WPL to take both a five-wicket haul and a hat-trick, returning figures of 5/33 against Gujarat Giants.
