Hardik may be out of the team along with captaincy

According to the news of Indian Express, Hardik can be removed as the captain of the team. Besides, his place in the team is also under threat.

A source to the news said, “During the season, there were many indications that it seemed that the team management was not in favor of keeping him as the captain. There is a lot of discussion going on in the team’s camp regarding this. The coaching staff had given a clear message to the senior players that they should play anywhere, but be ready to listen to the coach and adopt the suggestions. There were many times when the coaching staff gave some suggestions based on the statistics, but the players did not accept them.”

The source further said, there will be a serious review and discussion within the team in the coming days. Every option will be considered. Answers to many questions will have to be found. Can Hardik continue as captain going forward? Or will he remain in the team only as a player?”

Hardik’s disappointing performance

Hardik had a very poor performance in IPL 2026. Hardik scored 206 runs in 10 matches at an average of 22.89 and strike rate of 138.26. Hardik could take only four wickets in bowling.
