Former Australian legend Justin Langer recently took to his LinkedIn page and posted a lengthy message for Indian batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Australia’s former opening batter began by writing, “Last week I did something I have only done twice in my life.

I asked another athlete for a selfie. The first time was for my childhood AFL hero, South Fremantle’s Stephen Michael, a couple of years ago at Optus Stadium. The second was a 15-year-old boy from a village in Bihar.”

In the RR vs LSG game that the former Aussie batter is talking about, Sooryavanshi scored 93 runs from just 38 balls. The young batter had hit seven boundaries and 10 sixes in his knock that saw the home team chase down the mammoth total of 221 needed for a win with seven wickets and five balls to spare.

In the last game vs SRHthe batter scored 97 runs from just 29 balls and missed the record of smashing the fastest IPL ton by a whisker.
