IND vs AFG: After the excitement of the Indian Premier League is over, now the eyes of cricket lovers are fixed on the only Test match to be played between India and Afghanistan in New Chandigarh. Many young and star players of domestic cricket have been included in the Indian team selected for this match. Meanwhile, former Indian cricket team captain and great spinner Anil Kumble has selected India’s probable playing-11 for this match. Kumble believes that two promising young players can get Test caps in this match.

Harsh Dubey and Gurnoor Brar may enter

According to Anil Kumble, Vidarbha’s best spin all-rounder Harsh Dubey can start his Test career from this historic match. Harsh Dubey played a key role in taking the Vidarbha team to the finals and achieving a spectacular win in the domestic season 2024-25, where he became the highest wicket-taker in the season. Apart from this, Kumble has also advocated the inclusion of Punjab fast bowler Gurnoor Brar in the team. Kumble believes that Gurnoor Brar’s pace and bounce can prove to be more effective than the famous Krishna on this pitch.

Sai Sudarshan is out after flop, Padikkal returns

Head coach Gautam Gambhir had given frequent opportunities to young batsman Sai Sudarshan against England and South Africa on the previous tours, but he failed to perform as per expectations. Anil Kumble feels that due to his continuous poor form, Sudarshan may have to sit out of the team and in his place, Karnataka’s good batsman Devdutt Padikkal will get a place in the playing eleven. Padikkal has played Test for India before and is currently in excellent form in the domestic circuit.
