Himachal Pradesh Earthquake: There was an atmosphere of chaos in many parts of Himachal Pradesh on Friday night when suddenly the earth started trembling. The tremors of the earthquake, which occurred at around 10.03 pm, were clearly felt in Kangra, Mandi, Chamba and surrounding areas.
The intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 5 on the Richter scale, which is considered a moderate earthquake. The tremors were so strong that many people came out of their homes and shops. The impact of the earthquake was not limited to Himachal Pradesh only. People also reported earth shaking in Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Jalandhar and surrounding districts of Punjab. In many areas, people came out of their homes as a precaution. However, no damage or casualties have been reported by the Punjab administration.
