Mumbai The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday announced the Indian T20 team for the tour of Ireland and England as well as the Asian Games. This team includes a name whose discussion was in full swing in the cricket world for the last several weeks. 15-year-old explosive batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s dream of playing in Team India has come true. Seeing his explosive form, the selectors have taken a big and bold decision to give him a place in the senior team.

Every big bowler was badly beaten in IPL

Vaibhav’s journey to Team India did not happen just like that. Vaibhav, who made his IPL debut last year, showed a glimpse of his talent by scoring 252 runs in seven matches, but in IPL-2026, he crossed all limits of explosive batting. He scored a total of 776 runs in 14 matches at a stormy strike rate of 237.31 and won the Orange Cap by becoming the highest run-scorer this season. During this period, one century and five half-centuries came from his bat. The special thing was that Vaibhav thrashed the world’s great bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins and did not spare anyone.

Chance to break Sachin’s record as soon as he debuts

Vaibhav has been included in the team captained by Shreyas Iyer. Iyer has been given the command of the team in place of Suryakumar Yadav. Now it remains to be seen whether the captain gives him a chance in the playing eleven or not, because the team already has experienced openers like Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson. If Vaibhav gets a chance to debut, he can break the record of the great batsman Sachin Tendulkar made in 1989 as the youngest to play for India. Sachin made his debut at the age of 16 years and 205 days, while Vaibhav is just 15 years old. The eyes of the cricket world are now fixed on the Ireland tour starting from June 26.
