West Indies have called up Ackeem Auguste, Jewel Andrew and Shamar Springer to the T20I squad for their three-match series against Sri Lanka, set to commence this week.

Johnson Charles, Quentin Sampson, and Jayden Seales missed out after participating in the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup. This is the Windies' first assignment in the format after their Super 8s elimination in the marquee event. Alzarri Joseph has been rested due to workload management, as he is the mainstay in all three formats for the team. Fast-bowler Shamar Joseph is expected to rejoin ahead of the T20I series, after missing the ODI series citing personal reasons.

Left-handed batter Auguste has played nine T20Is, scoring 164 runs at a strike rate of 138.98 with a half-century. Andrew, a highly rated batting prospect, has five caps in the format, but has endured a lean run with the bat. All-rounder Springer has previously played on six occasions, scoring 71 runs at a strike rate of 157 and picking up eight wickets.

"This series is an important one for us as it's our first since the World Cup in India, where the team played with passion, fight and the togetherness that West Indies cricket is built on. Our focus now is to build on those foundations, continue growing as a team and make our fans proud with the way we compete against Sri Lanka," head coach Daren Sammy said, as reported by ESPNcricinfo.

The T20I series also takes place at Sabina Park, on June 11, 13 and 14. The series will be followed by two Tests, both to be played in Antigua. Sri Lanka won the ODI series 1-0, with a 41-run win in the first ODI. The remaining two matches of the series were washed out.
