Mumbai: BCCI has taken an important decision before the upcoming T20 International series against Ireland and England. India’s star fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has been dropped from the team for both T20 series. The Senior Selection Committee has included fast bowler Prasidh Krishna in the team in place of Siraj, who is making a comeback after a long time. Fans have been quite shocked by this decision.

Don’t know why Siraj was out?

According to an official statement issued by BCCI, Siraj is not out due to any injury, but he has been rested in view of the upcoming long and busy international season. The board said that after extensive discussions between the BCCI medical team and the team management, Mohammed Siraj has been advised rest as part of their workload management programme. This decision has been taken as a precautionary measure so that they can fully recover and freshen up before the upcoming busy season.

This bowler was given a chance

After Siraj’s exclusion, this is a big opportunity for tall right-arm fast bowler Krishna. Prasidh Krishna is known for his extra bounce and speed. Krishna, who is famous on the fast and helpful pitches of Ireland and England, can further strengthen the Indian bowling attack. The team is being captained by star batsman Shreyas Iyer, while young Tilak Verma has been made the vice-captain of the team. Many new and young faces like Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Prince Yadav have also got a chance in the team.
