Lucknow: A very exciting one-day (ODI) match is currently being played between India and Afghanistan at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. In this match, the Indian batsmen have destroyed the Afghan bowlers and scored a huge mountain of runs on the board. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Indian team made a huge score of 402 runs after losing all the wickets in 49.5 overs. Now Afghanistan will have to score 403 runs in 50 overs to win this match.

Captain Shubman Gill’s captaincy innings, scored brilliant 154 runs

Captain Shubman Gill was the hero of this record-breaking batting of the Indian team. Gill played a captaincy and memorable inning of 154 runs, hitting fours and sixes in all four corners of the ground from the very beginning. During this innings, he completely neutralized the Afghan spin and fast bowling attack. It was only because of this marathon inning of Gill that India was successful in crossing the 400-run mark.

Ishan Kishan’s ‘explosion’, scored 125 runs in 79 balls

Apart from captain Shubman Gill, wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan created havoc as soon as he came on the field. Ishan Kishan, batting in T-20 style, played an explosive inning of 125 runs in just 79 balls. During his explosive and aggressive innings, Kishan hit 7 skyscraper sixes and 14 brilliant fours. The century partnership between Gill and Kishan has pushed Afghanistan far behind in the match.

Record made in Ekana Stadium, huge enthusiasm among the spectators

Usually, the dominance of the bowlers is seen on the pitch of Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, but today the Indian batsmen created history. Thousands of cricket lovers who came to watch this historic run-fest live in the city of Nawabs looked extremely excited. Now it will be interesting to see what strategy the Afghanistan team uses to chase this seemingly impossible target of 403 runs in front of the Indian bowlers.
