India showed their power against the Netherlands in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. The batters helped the team in crossing the 200-run mark, and then the bowlers restricted the rival team to 114 in 17.3 overs. India secured a 95-run win to register two victories in a row.
The Dutch side had no answers to the brilliance of the Indian bowlers, with no one scoring a fifty. Captain Babette de Leede was the top run-getter, amassing 28 runs off 27 balls, including three fours.
Opener Heather Siegers hit 4 boundaries in her 16-ball 21-run knock. Sterre Kalis (18 off 13) and Phebe Molkenboer (15 off 20) stayed in the middle for some time but were unable to score big.
Shree Charani conceded just 19 runs and picked up four wickets in four overs. Shafali Verma was brilliant with the ball as well, getting rid of three batters. Nandani Sharma (2 wickets) and Deepti Sharma (1 wicket) were also superb.
Earlier, the Indian openers took the game away from the Women in Orange with a 115-run stand for the first wicket. Vice-captain Smriti Mandhana once again showed why she is rated highly in world cricket. She accumulated 74 runs in 47 balls, with the help of 11 fours and 1 six. On the other hand, her opening partner Shafali managed 55 runs off 38 balls, packed with 10 boundaries. Jemimah Rodrigues struck 2 fours in her innings of 19 off 13.
