Yuvraj Singh: T20 World Cup 2024 will start from June 2 on the soil of America and West Indies. All 20 teams including India have selected their squads for this upcoming mega event. The selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar has included Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant, who showed good performance in IPL 2024, in Team India as wicketkeeper batsmen. In this sequence, former Indian player Yuvraj Singh has told that who among these two should get a place in the playing eleven?

This player will get preference

While talking to ICC, Yuvraj Singh expressed his views on Team India's playing XI for T20 World Cup 2024. He made a big statement about the discussion about Virat Kohli in the opening pair and the race for wicketkeeping. Earlier, while talking about the opening pair, Yuvi said,

“I think Rohit and Jaiswal should open the innings. In T20 Internationals, Virat Kohli comes to bat at number three and that is his batting position. After this Suryakumar Yadav comes at number 4 and then you have some more big names.”

Who will get the chance Rishabh or Sanju?

Yuvraj Singh said that he would like to give more preference to left-handed batsmen. In such a situation, he would like to include Rishabh Pant in the playing eleven as a wicketkeeper batsman. They said,

“I would like to see more left-hand and right-hand combinations in the team while batting. This makes it difficult for the opposing team's bowlers. In such a situation, I would go with Rishabh Pant. Sanju is also in great form, but Rishabh Pant is a left-hander, and I think Rishabh Pant has a lot of potential to win matches for India. Which he has shown earlier as well.”
