Women’s T20WC 2026 IND-W vs BAN-W Playing 11: Harmanpreet Kaur-led India will square off against Nigar Sultana-led Bangladesh in the 23rd match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on June 25 at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester.
The Women in Blues come from a recent defeat in the game against South Africa and need to win the remaining games to keep their chances alive.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh also have two wins out of three games and secured fourth position in Group A of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Points table due to net run rate.
Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat. Speaking on the toss, Nigar Sultana said, “We wanted to bat first because in this sort of game, we really wanted to put some score on the board.”
“I think this is a really important game for us and I think it’s a huge opportunity for all of us to be in the top side. So I think we just wanted to give our everything in this game and we are so happy that we are in a moment where we are counted.”
“I think our batters have been in bad patches, but I guess they will come back in this game. But our bowlers have been very consistent in the last three games. So we will definitely be looking forward for that,” concluded Sultana.
Speaking on the today bangladesh Cricket Playing 11, Nigar Sultana said, “We are going with the same XI.”
Meanwhile, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur said, “Not really, I was just warming up myself (smiles).”
“Yeah, I think it’s a good wicket to bat on. But if you keep yourself in the game and spend some time on the wicket, it’s a really good wicket. But I think for bowling also, if you spin your fingers, there is something you can take from this pitch and hopefully our bowling group will come up strong today.”
“Yeah, I think that was a very good pitch to bat and bowl. And I think, as I mentioned, you just have to read the pitch and react accordingly. I think first to win, and then let’s see how it goes.”
