Victory tastes sweet when everything clicks. Chambal Ghariyals reached perfection, brushing aside Royal Nimar Eagles by 31 runs under the lights of Holkar Stadium, Indore. Their journey? Unbroken. Not once did they stumble, not even at the edge. This win sealed a perfect run through the Madhya Pradesh League T20 Scindia Cup 2026. Before them, their teammates in the women’s squad had already carved history – undefeated, untouchable, champions. Now both sides stand tall, one triumph echoing the other.

Shubham Sharma leads from the front as Chambal Ghariyals dominate final

Chasing early momentum, Chambal Ghariyals closed their innings at 224 for five after twenty. Off the block, Harsh Dixit and Ankush Singh piled on 35 in less than four overs. With timing over power, Dixit notched 32 from 18 balls before stepping aside. Contributing steadily, Ankush reached 12 from nine before bowlers found grip.

After that, Captain Shubham Sharma held things together while sharing the crease with Apurve Dwivedi. Eighty-three runs came up between them at the fall of the third wicket, Dwivedi stepping on the gas – rattling off 51 in just 25 balls, five huge hits clearing the fence. Through it all, Sharma stayed calm, putting together 57 from 38 without rushing. Later, when the last few overs arrived, Tripuresh Singh stepped into the spotlight.

Staying not out at 43 off just 24 balls, Tripuresh found the boundary three times and cleared it another three. Coming through with a brisk 17 from seven throws, Rohit Gupta pushed Chambal towards a strong final score.

A burst of boundaries lit the first over, Royal Nimar Eagles surging ahead under sharp strikes by Dharmesh Patel alongside Himanshu Mantri off Avesh Khan. Luck stayed with Mantri after a slip in the field let him continue. Yet, Chambal tightened its grip soon after, slowing the rush. The momentum shifted quietly but firmly.

Bowling through the middle overs, Tripuresh Singh sent back Dharmesh Patel just after he reached 17. Aman Bhadoriya struck next, ending Kanishk Dubey’s quickfire knock of 21 from only 10 deliveries. After that flurry, steady dismissals kept cutting off any chance for the Eagles to settle into strong stands.

A stubborn 73 not out from Abhishek Mavi, built on just 39 deliveries, briefly held promise for Royal Nimar. Yet, with nobody else stepping up beside him, the target swelled beyond reach. From the opposite side came Mayur Patel, whose sharp bowling – 2 wickets for only 21 runs across four overs – tightened control early. That effort helped cap Royal Nimar Eagles at 193 for 7. In the end, a margin of 31 runs spelled their downfall.

After the win, captain Shubman Gill pointed to the women’s team victory as a spark behind the men’s strong performance.

“Winning the title feels even more special after watching our women’s team achieve the same earlier in the tournament. Their success gave us confidence and motivation.

Throughout the competition, our biggest strength was consistency. Different players stepped up in different situations, and that collective effort made all the difference. It’s a proud moment for the entire team,” Sharma said.
