The Simhadri Vizag Lions (SVL) take on the Amaravati Royals (AMR) in Qualifier 2 of the Andhra Premier League 2026 at the ACA International Stadium in Mangalagiri, on Monday, June 29. 

The Lions beat the Vijayawada Sunshiners in a six-over contest affected by rain in the eliminator. They finished third on the points table, with five wins from eight matches, and have been one of the dominant sides in the league season. After clinching a win in the previous clash, the Vizag-based franchise will be confident to win the qualifier and see themselves through to the final.

The Royals, on the other hand, were beaten by the Bhimavaram Bulls in the first qualifier in dominant fashion. They topped the table with six wins in eight games and have been the outright strongest outfit in the league. They played the Lions twice in the league stage, winning and losing one each. They will be hoping to lock the berth for the finale with a win in the second qualifier.
