West Indies veteran leg-spinner Afy Fletcher said the team is in a positive frame of mind and focused on executing their plans as they face Ireland in a crucial Women's T20 World Cup clash on Saturday to seal a semi-final spot. The Caribbean side entered the match knowing a victory would secure their place in the last four, having won three of their first four games. Ireland, already out of contention after four straight defeats, won the toss and chose to bowl first, aiming to end their campaign on a high.

"We are in a good space. Everyone knows their preparation, and we are ready with a positive mindset," Fletcher said before the match.

Captain Hayley Matthews described the pitch as slightly slow, but West Indies backed themselves to post a competitive total. Despite their superior recent record against Ireland, Fletcher insisted past results wouldn't matter.

"That was in the past. We have to focus on the present and execute. Whoever plays better on the day will win," she said.

Playing in her sixth T20 World Cup, the experienced spinner credited years of hard work and adapting to different coaches for her longevity.

"I've worked with several coaches, and this new staff brings different variations. I back my skills and continue doing what works for me," Fletcher added.
