Royal Challengers Bengaluru were eliminated from the India Premier League 2024 after losing to Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

RCB’s six-match winning streak was broken by Rajasthan as the 2008 champions won the contest by 4 wickets.

Chennai were mocked on social media but it didn’t last long.

After RCB’s defeat, Chennai supporters and cricketer are making fun of Bengaluru. Former CSK player Ambati Rayudu has been leading the attack on RCB.

He shared a post on social media featuring the celebration of CSK players after their team’s fifth title victory in 2023. The video included Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane, Moeen Ali, Devon Conway. Rayudu wanted to remind RCB fans of Chennai’s dominance in the tournament.

“Just a kind reminder from the 5 times champions,” Rayudu wrote. He was joined by the two current CSK players Deepak Chahar and Matheesha Pathirana.

Chahar posted a 'salute' emoji while Pathirana added laughing emojis.

Despite playing six matches, Pathirana took 13 wickets in the 17th season.
