The Netherlands, making their debut in the tournament, are still searching for their first win. As they prepare to face Pakistan at Bristol's County Ground, the team is determined to end their campaign on a high note with a much-needed victory.

For young batter Phebe, the experience of competing on such a stage has been invaluable. “For me, just being able to play against some of the biggest players in the world is incredible, just to see them, and to face them as a batter,” she shared during a pre-match interaction with broadcasters.

“As a young player, it's all about gaining experience, staying focused on my own game, and performing when I can. And watching them bat and bowl up close is simply amazing,” she added.

Reflecting on her knock of 41 against South Africa, Phebe expressed her enjoyment of the innings. “It was good fun. We had a solid partnership, and it's always nice to get some runs during the powerplay. I think we started really well, so I'm happy with that. The pitch was good, and the outfield was pretty quick; if you time it well, the ball just races away for four in the powerplay.”

At just 20 years old, Phebe credits her strong sporting lineage for shaping her cricketing journey. Her family boasts an impressive athletic background; her grandfather, Evert Schneider, played Davis Cup tennis, her mother Florentine competed at Wimbledon, and her father Kuno is a single‑handicap golfer.

“Growing up, we played all kinds of sports during holidays and on weekends. I really loved it—just staying active all the time. That definitely helped me with my cricket too,” she concluded.
