Delhi Capitals Cricket Academy has expanded its footprint in the United States and North America with a centre in New Jersey, marking its second location in the country following its recent partnership with Thunderbolts Cricket Academy in Seattle.
Based in New Jersey, the Delhi Capitals Cricket Academy will work with Das Cricket Academy to deliver structured training programmes aligned with the franchise’s established coaching curriculum and technical framework. The initiative is part of Delhi Capitals’ ongoing effort to extend its development model into emerging cricket regions.
Das Cricket Academy is an established centre that trains over 150 young cricketers and operates its own ground, providing a dedicated environment for regular training and competition. The partnership brings together local coaching structures with Delhi Capitals’ global approach to player development.
The collaboration will focus on creating consistent training standards, introducing performance tracking systems, and providing access to development opportunities such as camps and skill-based programmes within the Delhi Capitals Academy network. It also enables the exchange of coaching knowledge and practices across centres.
"We are pleased to partner with Das Cricket Academy, which has been doing commendable work in developing young cricketers in New Jersey. As cricket continues to grow in the United States, we see an opportunity to contribute our expertise and high-performance framework while working alongside strong local partners such as Das Cricket Academy, DC CEO Sunil Gupta said.
The United States holds tremendous long-term potential for the sport, and we are excited to deepen Delhi Capitals' presence in the market while supporting the development of the game and creating more opportunities through structured pathway for young kids in New Jersey" Gupta added further.
Siddharth Das, Owner and Director, Das Cricket Academy, said, “This partnership fundamentally changes what the end goal looks like for a young player. Traditionally in the United States, cricket development has lacked a clear pathway where players train, play local leagues, and then reach a ceiling. This begins to change that.
Players now train within a system aligned to a professional franchise, with structured progression, exposure to elite training methodologies, and clear benchmarks for advancement. There are also opportunities for global exposure through tournaments, camps, and exchanges across the Delhi Capitals network.
Most importantly, this creates a high performance environment early in a player’s journey. It is not just about participation. It is about opportunity. Players who are serious now have a pathway that connects to professional ecosystems, where performance can open doors internationally.”
Delhi Capitals Cricket Academy now has a network of 15 centres across the globe, comprising eight in India and seven overseas. The growing footprint reflects Delhi Capitals' long-term commitment to nurturing young talent and building a globally connected cricket development ecosystem.
