Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson are the two wicket-keepers in Team India’s squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. However, one of them will be benched, considering the combination of the team. Samson has scored 521 runs at an average of 52.10 and a strike-rate of 155.52 so far in the IPL 2024 for the Rajasthan Royals.

Rishabh has accumulated 446 runs at an average of 40.55 and a strike rate of 155.40 for the Delhi Capitals.

Former India player Yuvraj Singh wants to see Pant in the playing group. “I would go with Pant as he is a left-handed batter. Sanju Samson is also in good form but the team combination demands the inclusion of the southpaw,” Yuvraj Singh said to the International Cricket Council.

“Rishabh Pant is immensely talented and can win games for India. He has the potential to win important matches. Pant has done it in Test cricket and he can repeat it in the T20 World Cup,” he added.

Yuvraj is also backing Hardik Pandya, who had a miserable season for Mumbai Indians. He flopped across departments but the two-time World Cup winner feels Pandya can deliver it in international cricket.
