Lucknow: Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) campaign in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 has ended after losing in the eliminator. In the initial stages of the tournament, they won only one of the first 8 matches, but after that their comeback was spectacular. The team won 6 matches in a row and qualified for the playoffs. However, RCB could not cross the hurdle of the eliminator match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday and had to face defeat by 4 wickets. Veteran all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has performed disappointingly for Bangalore this season.

Maxwell performed very poorly for his team in IPL 2024 and in view of this, former Indian great batsman Manoj Tiwari has launched a scathing attack on him. Tiwari believes that the 35-year-old has no interest in the IPL as he consistently scores runs for Australia but fails here. The right-handed batsman did not even cross the 50-run mark even once this season and that is why he is being criticized. During a conversation on Cricbuzz, Tiwari has made a big statement about Maxwell.
He said, “Glenn Maxwell has always performed well for Australia in international cricket. However, when he comes to the Indian Premier League, runs do not come from his bat. He has no interest in the league and even if he is out of it, it will not make any difference to Maxwell. In fact, he is getting money and cheques are also being received easily. He has fun at night, laughs and gets photographs taken.”
Let us tell you that at one time the hopes of RCB qualifying for the playoffs this season were slim, but they made an excellent comeback and ensured their place in the playoffs by defeating Chennai in their last league match. However, they had to face defeat against Rajasthan in the eliminator match. Glenn Maxwell is also responsible for this because he played a bad shot on the first ball against Ravichandran Ashwin in this match and got out.
