Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has won the toss and elected to bowl first against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League 2024.

“Batting becomes easy over here in the second innings and that’s why we are bowling first. I am feeling much better and the doctors are working hard to get us ready for the game after a flu gripped our squad. We will have to give our best in the batting department as we were not upto the mark in the last game but still managed to cross the line,” Sanju Samson said.

Pat Cummins would have bowled first as well. “We were also thinking of bowling first but that’s not in our hands. We can’t throw our wickets for the sake of batting aggressively. The field dimensions are different over here and I am hoping that will help our bowlers,” Pat Cummins said.
