Rohit also reflected on his love for playing in England, where he now has 1,603 runs at an astonishing average of 64.12 from 30 innings. "I love playing in England. The atmosphere, the grounds, the pitches when you turn up to play any format over here, it challenges you in different ways. That's what you want as a cricketer," he said. Despite the series defeat, Rohit defended his young bowling attack, urging fans and critics to be patient. "These guys haven't played a lot of ODIs, and you've got to give them time.

We can learn from this game, take things in our stride, and when we again come across a situation like this, we try to better ourselves. Disappointed with the result, but we have to move on," he added. With the ODI World Cup on the horizon, Rohit and Kohli are far from done and their partnership, one of cricket's greatest, still has plenty of runs left to offer.
