Sunrisers Hyderabad batters once again failed to get going in the Indian Premier League 2024. In Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals, the willow holders played reckless shots, resulting in a below-par score in 20 overs.

Abhishek Sharma had hit 10 runs off two ball before his over-aggressive approach resulted in his downfall.

Travis Head (34) and Rahul Tripathi (37) could have easily accumulated fifties but the shots which they played were never on.

Head, Rahul, Aiden Markram (1) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (5) were caught at short third man. Former India player Navjot Singh Sidhu slammed the players for getting caught in the same region.

“Four batters perished in the same area. If it happens for the first time, you can accept it. If it happens regularly, the batters are fools. You should bat according to the field. However, it seems the batters were not interested in staying at the crease,” Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Star Sports.
