Two-time World Cup winning player shows interest in becoming the head coach of the Indian team – Reports

Gautam Gambhir replacing Rahul Dravid as the head coach of the Indian men's cricket team may soon become a reality, as the former opener has reportedly shown interest in taking over the post after the T20 World Cup 2024. Gambhir has not yet applied for the post. At the moment, he is currently focused on the IPL 2024 final. KKR will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the title match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday.

Dravid has been serving as India's head coach since 2021. He will step down from his post after the ICC's major event starting in the USA and West Indies next month. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for the post of head coach, the last date for which is May 27.
